^ people write it when they need to fill in the mininimum number of characters for a post.

so if i omitted one question and got one wrong on the math section…
that would be around a 760 (According to the link)???
the vocabs were definitely a challenge this month

Past curves

http://www.erikthered.com/tutor/SAT-Released-Test-Curves.pdf

I am hoping for a 800 score for 53 in math…unlikely though.

@ snargaluff: Thanks. :D

I think the curve is going to be unpredictable. CR was def. slaughter.

can someone post past CR curves?

edit: nvm i see, DUH!?

edit2: NICE! i think i might of made 2000.

lol what would be considered a generous CR curve?

I dunno by that chart thingy it seems -3/64=800 is generous…maybe this one will be -4/63=800, cross your fingers!

Haha is that CR chart really the past curves? -2 or -3 can really get us 800 still?

Same here. I’m so annoyed I made one stupid mistake… my answer was off by one. What can you do though.

I highly doubt the 53 Math will be an 800, but do you guys think it’ll be a 790? That’s what I’m currently hoping for. I’m hoping it’s not a particularly brutal curve…

^ i know that -2 can get you an 800 for sure
o, is there a chart for past writing curves??

^ how do you know that? the curve can be different every year.

but since this one was particularly easy, i don’t think the curve will be so generous as to give an 800 for -2. i think -1 would probably be a 790

That’s what I’m hoping… I just hope -1 for Math isn’t 770 - 780. I’m scared the curve is going to be really bad since it was particularly easy.

I think joazn might have been replying to 1a1 about -2 definitely giving you an 800 (for cr)

^^not true! a lot of people thought the CR was particularly HARD!
also, ive seen ppl miss a couple and get 800s (not just on cr but everything else too)
if the link is an actual indication of the past scores,
theres a good chance you can get a 800 with a -2
lol, you must be good at CR…

oohh okay sorry i misunderstood your post joazn. i thought you were talking about math section for some reason lol…
and nooo wayy! far from good at the CR, it is actually the worst section in the world and better be a good curve considering i got 1029321 wrong!!

guys, i wouldn’t worry about it too much. the tests are over and done with, and we’ll just have to wait until may 21st to see our scores. even if the curve for math is harsh, a 750 - 780 is stilll goooood! :)

@ joazn No no no, I was talking about Math being particularly easy. I think the Math curve could be brutal.

lol I personally am hoping for a lenient CR curve as well. I thought it was challenging.

But it’s not very often that you can get an 800 with -2 for Math. That’s only when it’s particularly challenging (which most people do not seem to think Math was this time).

^I don’t think -2 (raw=52) has ever been 800 on math, at least since the new format SAT (3/2005).

On the other side of the spectrum, the toughest math curve I know of was 11/2008, which was -1=760, -2=740, -3=730 …

bleh. i have a question-- assuming a 12 essay, how much could i get off for an 800? i was poking around the old threads; apparently for march it was about 5 wrong? that just seems a little too good to be true…

um i think -3 and 800 is pretty likely

In March -2 was a 790 in CR (just my luck), despite the fact that everyone thought it was really hard. There wasn’t as much debate about the questions as there is this month though.

-2 in math is never 800; occasionally -1 is.

For writing, usually -2 and 12 essay is 800. Same for -1 and 11 essay.
