SAT or ACT!!! Which One Matters More??

I didn't do so good on my SAT... but i didn't study(because i thought it was goin to be EASY) BOY was i Wrong! No worries I'm building the Strength to take it over again soon!
I really did try to study for my ACT.... I took it today hopefully i did good.

Why colleges even consider them to be so important? especailly when students have good academic backgrounds. Well any way which one counts more? I heard a the about which one you might do better and all that smush! i just need some more clarity?

Thanks!

Grading practices vary from high school to high school, so the standardization of the SAT and ACT is helpful for admissions officers.

Colleges will consider the test on which you did better. Convert using this: [Estimated Relationship between ACT Composite Score and SAT CR+M+W Score](http://www.act.org/aap/concordance/estimate.html)

The SAT isn’t more important than the ACT and the ACT isn’t more important than the SAT, if that’s what you’re asking. They’re just factors that colleges consider in addition to your grades, since, as silverturtle said, grading varies from high school to high school. So just send in the test you did better on.

Although they are considered equal in most places, in some cases ACT is more equal.

This happens when some colleges require you to do SAT+ 2 subject tests but accept ACT + writing as equal SAT I + 2 subject test cases.

Some of the schools taking this position - Yale, UPenn, Brown, Rice etc.

TAKE BOTH tests! Take them 2 or 3 times

 1. SAT (General), plus at list 2 SAT (Subject Tests)
 2. ACT

Please,
Study hard for SATs and ACT, write good essays during the application process!
SATs and ACT score is very, very important extremely important for admission!
I did Princeton review lasses, improved my score by 200 +, but also i would HIGHLY RECCOMAND TAKING SAT CLASSES ESP FROM KAPLAN, OR PRINCETON REVIEW.
