I'm a sophomore in highschool now and I want to try to take the SAT before the changes and possibly after depending on my original score. My strengths are math. I'm alright at writing, except my grammar, and my reading skills are poor. Plus I have a very slow reading speed. GOAL:2150+ What's the absolute best way to prepare and study? Would it be better to have a expensive prep class or a tutor? How much would a tutor cost?

A tutor can cost from a few hundred to a couple thousand.

The best way to prepare is to practice and look over your answers.
Writing is simple as they test the same questions over and over again. For reading, look for answers stated in the passage. They may not necessarily have veracity, but validity.

Boo. Tutors suck. So do prep classes. Lock yourself in your room with the Blue Book.
And to help your reading speed you should google “Spreeder”. You’re probably saying the words in your head as you read. You’ll only be able to read as fast as you can speak. Spreeder will help you to read, without having to say it.
