I got a 233 on a practice PSAT. What are my chances of getting a similar score on the SAT? (more info below)
The practice PSAT was unofficial but timed. I took the PSAT test out of the 11-test Princeton Review SAT booklet (The 11th test in the book is a PSAT test strangely enough). Also, I have plenty of time to prepare for the real SAT (I take it in January), and I excel at writing essays. Thanks a lot!

Writing: 78
Math: 77
Reading: 78
I do know that to approximate my score, I multiply my score (233) by 10. So my SAT score would be around a 2330. But what are my chances of doing this well?

Don’t use unofficial practice tests as indicators of how you will score on the real thing. In fact, avoid unofficial tests altogether.

If you got a 233 on a practice psat, although unofficial, I would anticipate a 2200+ with little prep.

Also, how the hell is a 77 possible in the psat math? -1 on the actual SAT math is a 760, and there are twice as many questions… So wouldn’t a -1 on PSAT be a ~72 or 73?

^ No. -1 on SAT Math has historically yielded 780-800. 760 didn’t even happen until recently.

i agree. you should be able to get around 2200 on the psat.

Well, I got a 78 on last October’s PSAT (missed a grid-in -_-). It’s possible; it all depends on the curve, I guess.
