but the same thing happens with the triangle but ... OHHH is it because the 2 congruent sides of the triangle stay congruent? and then .. OHHH ok I get it now, thanks :) haha I know I got 1 wrong

haha I'm glad you understand; sry you got it wrong, though :).

this Question youre discussing is version 2 rite?

Tim555, I disagree with that choice on the Khyber pass question. True, it is remote and maybe exotic (feels like the wrong connation though), but the author was drawing a parallel situation for his pleasurable experience when lost in a mall as a child-- therefore "a place where it is a pleasure to get lost" is the best answer. Even though it's the right answer, it doesn't mean other answers can't be somewhat true.

Khyber Pass:the Khyber Pass is the most important pass connecting Pakistan with Afghanistan. Throughout history it has been an important trade route between Central Asia and South Asia and a strategic military location. - but it doesnt seem very exotic so i agree with DIGamma

I originally chose "a place where it is a pleasure to get lost", but I read into it further and chose "a remote and exotic location". Is it correct? I can't say. I only remember not seeing a strong enough connection between the first, figuring it was a tricky one, and picking the location one.

i am still fairly sure that remote and exotic is the right answer
i put pleasure to get lost at first too, but then i read the question and the PARAGRAPH. although the passage was about finding pleasure and exhilaration while being lost, the specific paragraph in which the Khyber pass was discussed was definitely used in context as a place that was far away. Yes its also a place where he'll have a gay time, but the "far away part" is comparatively more specific to WHEN the Khyber Pass was used as an illustration

actually, now I think remote and exotic is the correct one since the question was like "Why does the author mention the Khyber pass in lines x-y" and it appears as if he was contrasting the pass with a familiar setting of a toy store. "Whether you're in a toy store at the mall or in a completely foreign location [i.e. in the khyber pass], the experience is the same."

I'm really not sure, but pleasure to get lost was my first instinct... I should have read further. :(

meh...whatever the answer is it doesn't change the fact that we all did our best (lol but i did NOTHING to prepare.....I swear I didn't even go through one review book before taking the test....CRZY!!) :)

do you guys remember whether finding the volume of the box was grid in or multiple choice

grid in i believe

so - 2 grid in is like 2 omit?

the one where they cut 1inches off each edge right?

yea...you don't get quarter points taken off if you get them wrong.

what about the question in the lost passage about the santa claus being a "huge monster" ?

i think it put a contrast with something

me 2......

I said it contrasted with the skinny child. is this it?

lol that was a funny passage....I briefly laughed to myself as I read it.
I think the question asked what the 'huge monster' phrase refered to?
I picked the child's perspective.....I'm almost sure that was the right answer.

wait....i think we're talking about two different thing
