hii
i know columbia requires that we send all scores - but does that include sat 2s? i took three different subjects, and while i did pretty well on two of them, i kinda bombed the third one. i know columbia only requires 2 subject tests, so do i have to send the third one?

thanks in advance x

You must send the third one if it was taken in the same sitting as the other two. Otherwise, you don’t have to. Hope this helps!

thanks! yeah that is helpful.
first time i took i got a 740 in lit and 660 in math 2, and second time i got a 730 in lit and didnt take the math 2…would it be better for me to just send the 730 score so i dont have to send the 660? the 10 points wouldnt actually make a difference would they…?

Yes. 730 and 740 are essentially the same thing. Send the 730 Lit score without Math 2.

You can send individual scores even if they were taken on the same day, I believe. I never had an issue with that. I took Physics, Math II, and Lit on the same day, but I only sent the first two scores.

Contrary to popular belief, you do not ACTUALLY have to send all your scores. It is “required”. Many things in the college application process are “required”. Columbia has absolutely no way to know how many SAT tests you took, what you got on them, etc. It is not their business unless you make it their business. It is a scare tactic to give them a better idea as to what you’re really like, but it means nothing. It’s very similar to “restrictive early action” schools where you are only supposed to apply to one school early action. That is BS. Schools have no way of knowing any other school you applied to unless they talk to each other, which they wouldn’t.

Anyway, don’t stress about it. You don’t have to do anything you don’t want to do.

ooook
well basically i’m just gonna send in my 770 and 730 which i took on the same day, and hope it’s not a problem that i got a higher score on another day when common app says we should submit our highest scores…
just would rather they didn’t all see my 660 haha

No
If you hide your scores college board informs Columbia and other non score choice schools that you have used score choice. I tired to hide some scores from Columbia but college board sent me a message warning that they would inform Columbia. Just be honest.

oh, really?? how annoying! so embarrassed of my 660

was that sat1s or sat2s btw? coz i’m happy to send all my sat1 scores, it’s just this one sat2 score!

I hid my second retake of the SATs from Columbia and it was never a problem. I doubt Collegeboard cares.
