subject tests

I know you are supposed to send 2 subject scores from the SAT, and at least for the college, you can do any two subjects. Is it okay if you send a math level 1 and a math level 2 score for your two tests? or is this considered just one subject?

thanks!

i know for sure that dartmouth doesn’t care…
but columbia, i think they advise against it

if you’re engineering you MUST send a math & a physics or chemistry. I asked the head of admissions & he told me. They do accept January SATs though so you still have one more chance

I’m not doing fu foundation, so i guess math 1 and math 2 would work? but hmm ill just send my lit score in there as well so they can just decide

I honestly wouldn’t send both math scores unless your lit score is really awful. the impression of diversity of academic interests (which is often just as important as scores) that the adcom will glean from two different math exams is nowhere near the diversity of interests a lit/math combo would reveal. just make sure you’re sending the best scores specific to each test’s curve. adcoms know that an 800 on math I (does anyone even get that??) is way more impressive than an 800 on math II, which the top 10% of math II testers score anyway.

edit: actually, you should send them all if they’re all good. but as for the two that will appear on your CU app, yeah, math/lit is advisable.

math II and I count as 1 sat II
send in another one just in case.
