SAT Score Drop

Okay, way back in March 2003, I took the SATs and got a 800M and 650V. Well just recently on November 6, I retook the SATs hoping to increase my verbal score and ended up with a 710M and 680V. Although my verbal score increased, my math score MAJORLY decreased, and thus my entire composite decreased from a 1450 to a 1390.

How is this going to look? I’m kind of nervous since my math score decreased by so much. I know that some colleges take the top score in each subject (math and verbal), but how about when colleges take a glance at the official score report and see this drop?

really, w/ the math, 4 questions or so can get u down to a 710...

Yeah, I went from a 730V 570M to a 730V 550M.

The math curve is brutal. That and I despise math.

Colleges don't give a rat's ars if your scores drop, they look at your best. So you're taken cared of. In fact some schools look at the best of both (usually private schools) so in some schools your SAT score is 1480.
