Hey guys,
I’d like to start off by saying I’m an international student from Bangladesh(it’s in Asia folks), if that makes any difference. The November SAT is almost upon us, and I’ve run out of official tests. My scores are still in the high 1400s however and albeit good, I wish to score higher(my last scores on test 5 and 6 were 1470 and 1490 respectively).
I’m pretty good at the math section, and I get 1-2 wrong per test. However, I’m slowly trying to close the gaps of knowledge there and will hopefully get an 800 on test day.
I’m okay at reading and I consistently make 4-5 mistakes per test. I just don’t know why. I do have a few timing issues because I tend to get too fixed into a single question and I’m working on that.
As for writing, I get around 3 mistakes per test and that’s alright I guess.
Here’s the catch however. If I do more mistakes than the quantity stated above for any section (and I did in all the first 4 practice tests), I miss the 1500+. I know 4 days of prep right now is asking for a miracle to happen, but I can easily put around 30 extra hours of preparation.
Note that my errors are pretty random, and I mostly get the difficult questions wrong, and sometimes the easy one’s… Anyways, what tips or suggestions do you guys have for someone at this point in their prep? I’m certain a lot of you have improved your scores from the 1400s to 1550+ so I’d love some advice.
Sorry for the long post.
P.S- I still have 2 PSATs which I didn’t give, and apparently they’re very close to the real test. I also have 2 tests remaining from my IvyGlobal book and I have heard good things about them from CC, but I’m still unsure if I should spend time on those or repeat the 6 tests to really brush up my skills.
