SAT score reports will be received in time?

@mstomper @cappex There’s a magical part of technology called “servers” and “wait times”. Around this time of year, score orders from CB increase 10 fold, if not 50+fold. The servers at CB get jammed up from the sheer number of requests; there’s simply no way they can send tens of thousands of scores to a single institution and not face some sort of error. So they release in batches to avoid a REAL catastrophe. Also, it takes time for CB to process your order, as it would any transaction. The process goes: you order–>payment–>CB receives the order–>CB processes it–>sends it to the school(s). Chances are, if you’re sending multiple scores, they need to double check with records to ensure no error is faced so the college received the correct scores.

@basedchem any tips on how I could get a job working for the CollegeBoard?
Jokes aside, this isn’t the CBs first rodeo by any means, if they know that this is a possibility, why offer the 2 day guarantee at all? And even if an entirely electronic process isn’t instant, is there any reason why it takes two weeks? My GC says that CB has them all in a batch just sitting there, ready to go for days at a time

If this is correct, the College Board actually switched their systems mid-October and that is why everything is delayed. http://ugaadmissions.blogspot.com/2015/10/ramdom-admission-thoughts-october-2016.html

Hey guys, can I ask something, is there a glitch (or whatever, idk if this is normal) with CB’s status of scores? I only sent my UMich scores once, and for yesterday it only showed it once, but now it shows it twice?

@basedchem that happened to my son too. I had called CB about my son’s scores still saying pending and they said they would be sent by next day. The CB website was updated on 10/28 to say sent and then on 11/1 there was another message that they were sent again. This is so aggravating! I hope it doesn’t mean that there was a problem sending the scores.
