Why is it that CALS requires SAT I or ACT scores, but they dont necessarily require SAT II scores?

Is there a reason for this, or perhaps is this the only school at Cornell that isn't too concerned with SAT scores in general?

I'm honestly not too sure. However, I know someone with an 1100 who got in...although she was an URM, but still, I don't think SATs are that important to them.

SATs are definitely important, but it's only one part of the package. I was curious about the SATII requirements as well. I never took the writing SAT II (I'm a math/science type).

I think certain majors do place less importance on the SAT IIs. Some are less stat driven and more related to your interests and activities in the field. Making an agriculture major take the 2s, for instance, doesn't make a lot of sense.

I wish I applied to one of those majors. Yes, if you couldn't tell I'm a little bitter that homegirl got in. Not to mention jealous!! Haha

If you apply for bio you should probably send in SATII's in order to differentiate yourself futher from the other applicants.

yeahh. i didnt apply for bio and i sent my bio scores.
