Milessmile--I'm pretty sure I can get 50 points higher next time..I was kind of aiming to get 100 pts higher. hahah. But I'm definitely going to prepare for it over the summer if I take it again!
A lot of people have been telling me that once you get over 2200, you're competitive enough and then it just depends on your GPA, EC..etc. Will a 2300 vs. a 2200 make much of a difference? I'm definitely taking one of the hardest courseloads (more APs than most people) in my school..

Yes. Just make sure that it is within your means to do so.

i really doubt your sophomore year score will matter at all, that's even before you took the PSAT which is supposed to be prep for the SAT. All colleges should be aware that sophomore year scores are hardly real tries, more like practice.

I definitely suggest taking it again, having properly prepared the first time.
I got a 2220 on my first try in May and I took it again in October and got a 2400. Personally, I dont know how that even happened seeing as I studied waaaaaaaaaaaay more in May, I took a class (although a really ****ty one but it made me do questions still) and got my hands on a ton of practice tests. I wasn't even planning to retake it except for the fact that I lost 50 points off on the math section for switching two correct answers on the grid-in. I must have filled in the wrong boxes. Otherwise i would've had a perfect math score so i decided to take it again. So for Oct I did like 2 practice tests because I figured that I already studied and really wouldn't learn anything new, got a headache halfway through the CR, and pulled off a 2400? Even if i hadn't lost the 50 points and got a 2270 the first time, thats a 130 increase with minimal studying. So anything can happen.

Also, if you're afraid of Harvard not liking the two score thing, you can do what I did with Yale when I applied EA. I sent my SAT scores BEFORE my Oct scores came out so it only had my May score on it. I figured that if I did better on the Oct one, I'd just express ship it over before Nov. 1 - which I did. If you didn't do better, just don't send it again - they'll never know. So submit your harvard app before your test report returns and send ur first batch of scores, worry about the rest later :)

Isn't the College Board offering score choice this year (for a fee of course) ? You can simply request which one or two SATs to send to the colleges.

uum as far as I know they do not have such an option. I've sent my scores to a bunch of schools already and there was definitely no way to choose your scores when you send them on college board.

score choice is not for 09'ers...it will come into effect after we graduate

Score Choice

Well I'm only a junior this year..
So I'll have the option of score choice.

Does that mean it would be smart to take it again??
Since I can just hide my other scores?

if you look carefully, it said colleges may have their own policies....so idk but maybe harvard would ask for all of your scores, i don't recommend taking it an unlimited number of times....3 is enough

So should I take it a 3rd time?

Or is 2 times enough..?

What else would you do with your time?
