I was just wondering how much Pepperdine emphasizes SAT scores. I got a 1750/2400. i have really good recommendations, I think I wrote a good essay, and I have a lot of extracuriculars. I also live in Connecticut if that matters. Do I have any chance?

Thanks for your response!

Yes, you have a chance definately. My SAT scores were around 1780, few extra-curriculars, wrote a good essay, some good recommendations, and east coast (but i don’t think it matters at all)

However, I also submitted supplemental information in my application to make it really stand out. I sent it via email to the admissions.

Goodluck.

What kind of supplemental information?

A lot of people here had similar scores, but the average is 1800-1900.

I’m from connecticut too. and my ACT is kind of low a 25 but i really want to go to pepperdine!
its my second choice.

I have a good transcript, 4 AP Classes by the end of senior year, and 3 sports, presidents of two clubs, good teacher recs etc.

Do I have a chance?

Honestly essays are the most important thing. Stand out in those and you’ll get in. Ahhhh except theyre stressing me out, especially that supplemental essay!! Anyone else think that the integration of faith and learning and the cleansing of our minds, spirits, and community is a lot to fit into a 500 word essay??

woah i didnt know the average was from 1800-1900. i have an 1850 but i thought i was aiming to low by choosing pepperdine. i chose NYU for ED but apparently i wasnt good enough. So pepperdine must be the fit for me? i did ALL this extra stuff to help me getting into NYU or USC (which i havent found out about) but nothin really counts i guess.

Pepperdine is ranked 3/4 in competitivity…

whered u get that?

one of those books on the best colleges… can’t remember which one haha

i got a 1800 on my first SAT and my goal is to get above 2000 by next november
my main goal isn’t just getting in but also getting scholarships
will high SAT scores benefit me in scholarships?
*btw i’m an international student

thats possible! to raise that high. i started out with a 1580 or something and brought it up to an 1850 superscored. idk how i did that …cuz im pretty dumb lol but it happened.
