SAT Subject Test or SAT?

I'm a Senior in high school and have started my college applications, the only thing is I procrastinated the SAT's. My old counselor had told us we didn't need Subject Tests so I didn't bother taking them, but I recently learned that they're "highly recommended" by most schools and UC's (My dream schools are UCLA or USC). I just got my SAT score and I didn't do as well as I had hoped but I got an 1870. My GPA's around a 4.3 and my extracurriculars are strong.
I'm taking 2 subject tests this Saturday except I am not prepared AT ALL. The December test is the last SAT that colleges will accept, should I prepare and retake the subject tests then or retake the SAT to try to boost my score (hopefully range in the 1900's).
I really am not sure how much weight the subject tests will have on the application and I'm pretty sure I will not send in the scores of the subject tests I am taking this week.
Basically which would help my application more, a higher SAT score, or 2 decent Subject tests?
Again UCLA is my dreaaammm school! But I'm hoping to at least get in to Irvine! So what would be my chances?

Btw, I am African American, first generation college student and American so that might add weight to my application.

Thank you in advance

Try to do as well as you can in the subject tests and re-take the SAT - unlike the subject tests, that is a requirement for all of the universities you’re applying to and I can imagine they are primarily going to look at your SAT I score

I can tell you now that the SAT subject scores I receive will most likely not be sent in because I have one week to prepare and theirs no way I can cram in APUSH all over again for it. So it’s basically, SAT Subjects or higher SAT score.
