Should I retake the SAT or do subject tests?

Well, I'm a senior this coming fall. I took the SAT once on June for the first time, because I'm kind of a slacker.

I got an 1880 :(. Should I take subject tests on October or retake the SAT? Subject tests aren't required anymore from UCs, and I just want to get into UCI.

I talked with one of the guys who reviews applications for UCI, and he said he wasn't sure what they were going to do with the subject tests yet.

College apps are due right after that SAT test. I've been told that you have up until December to retake the SAT, though. How does that work and does it apply to the subject tests as well?

Thanks.

You should definitely take the SAT in October. But you can take subject tests in November and send your score report to UCs. I’m in the same situation so I researched and that’s what I’m planning on doing.

Do both. High scores can only help you

I was definitely planning on taking both if possible, but I’m not sure how score reporting and the actual application review system works. So I should retake the SAT and when they review applications they will be able to see my subject tests?
