**SAT Subject Test- US History- 2015-16**

Both HDT and MLK Jr. practiced civil disobedience.

@deeeznuts i put Thoreau because he wrote the book “civil disobedience” and the question was directly asking about that

Yea but mlk explicitly mentioned Emerson as an influence too, did the question ask about civil disobedience? dont remember

HDT refused to pay poll taxes in the Mexican American War.

Anyone know what the answer to the one about most important transportation was? I put canals but wasnt sure. I think it asked in the 1830s

@tahi1998 Oh ok, another question wrong!! :frowning:

It was definitely canals

https://www.apstudynotes.org/us-history/topics/the-transportation-revolution/

Several of the answer choices are mentioned, I put raildroads, which may be right

Uhm maybe? I originally thought it did but I’m not too sure anymore. There was also the question with the populist cartoon. I put the one with many groups that had impractical propositions. I’m not sure on that one either

@tagi1998
I was between that answer and the one that said that the motives of the populist party were the same as a lot of other small groups which helped them. I ended up putting the latter, buy I’m not sure.

Yea I put the combination of small groups as well @soymilk23

JFK’s failure was the bay of pigs right?

@deeeznuts I just googled it and you’re right, but I got that wrong

Scores come out July 21?! How does it take a month and a half?! Come on College board [-X

Yeah, it’s a long time and I’ll probably forget about it by then. I’m honestly not that worried though. I’m pretty confident I got 750+ after looking at how good the curve is.

What other questions did people struggle with? Did anyone figure out MacArthur? I put the choice about Japan as well.

For the populist one I also put the radical ideas answer. It’s probably wrong though. That one was TOUGH and I feel like I could have justified both answers.

@jcollege72 the reason I didn’t put impractical was because I don’t think their platform was impractical. It was radical but I don’t think that necessarily implies impractical.

@soymilk23 it asked for what the cartoonist was trying to say, not which of them was true

ok so who tf is harvey milk never heard that name in my entire existence

i thought it was impractical ideas because the papers flying out from their hands said stuff about how their ideas were unrealistic
