**SAT Subject Test- US History- 2015-16**

What’d you get?

I got an 800! haha @MrAustere

@aurthur 730; retaking in January. Could you tell me what you did to get an 800? Any tips/suggestions? “Odd” things to know?

Taking APUSH this year and taking the subject test in May. How deeper is the content in depth on the subject test?

@bsdsj22 I took APUSH last year…it prepares you well. I would still recommend reading Barron’s SAT USH for further review. Let me know if you have anymore questions!

Happy 2K16 guys! I am a junior and i am going to take this test in May. I have regular US history class(my school only has ap spanish …lol) this year but it only covers part(i guess up to 50%?) of the textbook. so that doesn’t really help a lot. I plan to just read the PR sat book for content review, mainly because i self-studied ap WH last year and got a 5 pretty much just by reading PR. How are the practice tests in PR? Do i need to but other prep books for content or practice test? Thank you so much! I just start to prepare now, would that give me enough time? I really appreciate your help.

@jackwang0703 Practice tests in PR are easier than the real test. I recommend using both Barron’s and PR, because Barron’s tests tend to be harder. For content I would recommend picking up a copy of AMSCO. Let me know if you have any other questions.

@MrAustere Thank you! I am still gonna read my PR first maybe i will read other materials later. I just wanna know if PR pretty much covers all i need to know for the test no further knowledge to get a 750+.

And whoever used PR for review and took the test. Could you guys give me some your comments and experiences? Thank you very much!

What major battles do i need to know in the revolutionary war? And do i need to know all the Acts(what they did) passed by the British? Thank you!

And also what about the Bill of Rights and other Amendments? So many specific details I am scared…

Anybody???

Yeah you do need to know the major acts and events in the Revolutionary War. SAT subject test examines specific details a lot- more than APUSH. Don’t need to know major battles apart from Lexington and Concord (they test specific details that show a pattern or trend). When I took the subject test in November there were questions on Bill of Rights and Amendments so I suggest you know them.

Thank you! I think it is just basically memorization and comprehension. I am gonna study it over and over until May. Do u think that would be enough time? How difficult is it to get a 750+? Everybody says it is hard to get a 700.

What did you all think of the test today?

Anyone want to discuss?!

It was hard af for me…

@mdorbust Want to discuss any questions? I thought it was hard too. A lot of periodization stuff.
