Is it okay if I submit 3 subject test scores? Or will Harvard admissions look badly upon this as not following the directions?

I think 2 is the minimum. I wouldn’t submit, like, 7, but I definitely submitted 4 when I applied.

^why wouldn’t you submit 7 if you took them?
I started taking subject tests in 9th grade after I finished the classes while the topic was still fresh. I did pretty well in those 3 subject tests, and then took another 3 in my junior year. Do you think it is inappropriate to submit them?

Well, I guess, I just…I would never have taken that many? If I had three fantastic ones from freshman year, I wouldn’t have taken more, or at least not that many more. If the ones from freshman year were that lacking that I’d take three more, I wouldn’t submit them, no. So idk.

Just back from the meeting with the Harvard admission person - 7 will definitely look bad, as if your main EC activity is taking standardized test. They ask for 2, if you have 3 800s, submit them, but more might work against you.

okay so we can use score choice to choose the best 2 out of 3 tests that we took? I’m confused because it looks like they want us to submit all sat scores (including sat 1) but then on their website they say they honor score choice. Can anyone clarify?

@kelowna:This is worrying but I can’t do much about it now. I have already sent my scores, which are 6x800. And I still have a life ;)

m00nlight: I just checked their website and they clearly mention that score choice is in line with their own belief:

Also, another question:

If I have a bunch of AP tests that I scored 4s on, should I add them?

Should I only list the AP tests I got 5s on or should I list them all (4 5s vs 4 5vs and 2 4s). Will 4s count against my “perfect” image? Or will even prestigious college not look down on that.
