SAT to ACT conversions 2017

So i got a 1460 on the June SAT and was curious to see how that would translate to ACT.
I also got 31 ACT before and took the recent one yesterday.
I just want to know if anyone here has a good accurate conversion chart bc the ones online are all different from each or are outdated.

Accurate or not, Collegeboard has published one while ACT does not agree with. SAT 1460 is corresponding to ACT 32.

isnt this old tho.
also did ACT release their own converiosns?
anyone else have links to accurate conversions?

anyone^^^^
all my friends have told me that a 33 is equivalent to a 1440, and 32 is 1420.
Online some websites say 1330 is 1500, so what do i trust?

a 1460 is what 97th %? Percentiles are what matters. Look to see what an ACT 31 is for Percentile for the ACT. .

@center
SAT now gives those two different percentiles one higher one lower.
What’s the point and value of having those two? Why is one not enough?
Anyway, for compering would you use the lower or the higher percentile?

The concordance table is subject to revise. CB just release the actual score percentile with the new SAT scores. ACT has not accept, non publish, any conversion table between ACT and the new SAT score. Whether 1460 in SAT or 31 in ACT is better would depend on the school and the section score distribution.
Here is the only “official” concordance table from CB right now although it is still disputable: https://collegereadiness.collegeboard.org/pdf/higher-ed-brief-sat-concordance.pdf

The only reason I ask for this is because this conversion causes arguments between many students in my school, so I was wondering if I could turn towards you guys for a definite answer.

As you have been told, there is a lot of controversy over what is an accurate concordance between SAT and ACT scores. Recently, SAT and ACT released new percentiles (with SAT releasing theirs just last week), updated for 2017. Here are the links:

A 1460 puts you just over into the 99th percentile, which looks like it corresponds to an ACT composite score of 34, which is just over into the 99th percentile. While the concordance tables released by the College Board put this lower (at around a 32), that is only the 97th percentile and obviously cannot be accurate.

That seems a little low, a 34 is a 1460?
My SAT is a 1490 but ACT is 32, which seems a lot off…
So my SAT would be a 34-35?

I am curious, my son scored a 1480, he is a junior and is unsure if he should retake SAT, take ACT or just be happy with his score.

@kimclan1 You are looking at the wrong column. SAT 1460 is at the 98%, not 99%. The score percentile should be only counting the SAT taker (i.e. the curve of test taker), not the national student population. It does not match up with ACT 34 but 32.

so 32 is 1460 to clarify?
Then what if 33 and 34 on SAT?
And what is 1490 on ACT?
