This is simply a curiosity for me - which one would be more appropriate for me? For comparisons, I have taken the SAT only once recently (as in the past two years).

Math is not an issue - I can get guaranteed perfects on both tests.

Critical Reading - I squeaked by with an 800 (2 mistakes).

Writing - Unfortunately, 2 mistakes + mediocre (9) essay cost me a decent number of points on the writing.

For science, I guess I can get perfect fairly easily.

So, basically is CR + Writing easier on SAT or ACT? I will take both, but again, I am curious to know.

I’ve never taken the ACT, but from what I’ve heard it’s way more content based in general. And the ACT is divided into Writing, Reading, English, Math, and Science, not Writing and Critical Reading like the SAT.
Also, it’s hard to say what you’re most ‘suited for’ because I would say you’re suited perfectly well for the SAT even though you seem to think you’ve done badly. You’d get at least a 2200 on the SAT, why’re you upset…oh wait, this is CC.

Yeah, I ended up in the lower 2300s, partially due to a math fail (apparently bubbled 9/3 instead of 8/3). I’m not satisfied actually, and was wondering if an ACT 36 would be easier.

Yes, I know about the ACT subject division. Science is ok. Writing + English = SAT Writing from what I know.
