Hi
I'm planning on studying for the SAT2 W.H to take it in December
and I'd just like to know how much content is in the test?
I have a good 2 month during summer to prepare for it so I've got lotsa time
to those of you who have taken the W.H, i'd like an idea of how much you guys spent preparing

I didn’t spend much time and I regret it because there is a lot of random facts on the test. If you have the time, I recommend actually going through each chapter of the Barron’s book. If you remember a lot of it, you should do fine.

I self-studied for World (and not very thoroughly at that,) and I think that was enough for the SAT. So…read through the Barron’s prep like the above poster said. That should be enough.

The World History test covers college material for the subject, so a regular WH course won’t cut it, but AP World helps. However, because you are tested in 100 random things, unless you are confident enough to have scored a 5 in AP World, AND you want 800 you still have studying to do. I think prep books are base for this case because they will give you the most relevant info, textbooks give too much info.

I got a 4 in AP World and 730 for World History.

SAT world is really hard, due to its random questions like where did sir francis drake explore? An AP World in a whole year will probably get you only a 650. I suggest you study a lot or pick a different test if your taking it in December. If you do, get a CB and Barron’s. Read all of Barron’s and know what every answer choice on CB is. Like what surrealism is.

SAT World is definitely harder than AP

It’s a lot more detailed and has random ass passages that are sometimes all funny worded and difficult to read.

AP Score: 5
SAT WH: 740 (I thought I’d do worse!)

Ya that’s what I think my scores will be.
My prediction:
AP:5
SAT WH: 750-770 or maybe better. If I get 3 more wrong (out of like 20), I think I’ll be out of the 800 range.
