SAT Writing score - 800 with a 9 essay?

<p>I thought it was impossible, but sure enough, I saw it on my SAT reports this morning.</p>

<p>I'm not complaining (trust me, I'm pleasantly surprised) but I didn't know this was possible.</p>

<p>Has this happened to anyone else?</p>

<p>I got an 800 with an 8 or 9 essay in January, you just need to get 80/80 MC</p>

<p>I only got 780 W with MC 80/80 & essay 8 at October 1, 2011 Test.</p>

<p>Hmm, I got 790 Writing too, but they still haven’t released my essay score…</p>

<p>and I definitely missed more than 1 MC in writing.</p>

<p>How many wrong is a 68 (guessing it’s around 6 points off from 49)?</p>

<p>Grisam, are you me? Same exact thing on the writing section to the letter (yay for puns).</p>

<p>Was not expecting it as my psat writing (no studying) was a 53, then a 650 on march sat. Studying helps, a lot.</p>

<p>And I though my essay was bad… I was expecting an 8.</p>

<p>Haha it was different for me… I’m a natural at grammar and english wasn’t my only language growing up</p>
