i heard it was going to start counting this year, is that true?

if so, that'd be awesome, as i have a 790.

also--- how much harder is it for out of state students?
and anyone know how they calculate the gpa?

good job!! i didn't do quite as well, but i got a 740. hopefully it counts b/c that would be awesome!! where r u from? cause i'm from indy, so getting into UF for me might be harder than u. idk. but it sucks b/c UF REALLY considers all their instate kids before the oos ones. and the gpa is calculated weird. u might wanna get on their website, but its something like they look only the core classes and add 1.0 for an AP class and .5 for a honors class...idk. hope that helps!

The UF website says they are counting writing this year.

Just an FYI -
They are using the writing score for admissions, but they are NOT using it as criteria for the honors program. That is still a 1400 CR/M.

thanks floridagatgirl.. i'm from pennsylvania.
and that's similar to how my school does gpas, but we weight honors by .25... except they only started that last year, so it's kinda weird.
do you know if they weight out of state honors? because i'm also looking at colleges in california, and they don't.

and thanks tzais01 and land64shark too, especially for the note on the honors program. still 40 points away from eligibility as of now, haha, oh well
