<p>I know most schools really only care about your 1600 SAT score (CR and Math) and disregard the Writing score. They might use the Writing score for class placement, but not so much for admissions. Does anyone have a list of schools that "care" about the Writing section and a list of schools that don't? What schools take the Writing score into consideration during admissions?</p>

<p>Those would be very long lists. You can check the Common Data Set section C8 for that information.</p>

<p>For example, Stanford writes:</p>

<p>Stanford is not using essay component. </p>
