Sat

Taking the SAT1 3 times.. would it really affect my chances.. if there are 2 applicants with the same scores.. 1 took it 3 times the other once.. would the one who took the test just once have a significant advantage over the other?

There are no bonus points for single sitting 2400s. Take it three times if you want.

You can take it as many times as you want. Just remember that SAT alone will not get you in.

To answer your question, I am sure that in the situation you describe above it will not be the number of SAT sittings that will determine which one of those two applicants will get admitted.

SO that's not a factor the admission officers will take into consideration? thanks..

I honestly don't know but I took the test 3 times AND took the ACT.
I got in ED w/avg scores so I guess it didn't factor in too much?

However, I would say only take it > 2 times if you really have to just bc statistically, scores go down on the 3rd attempt according to some articles I've read.

thanks everybody!
