"satisfied lower division requirements"?

On my counselor recommendation, it says:

"If you choose to complete your humanities/fine arts area study in history or humanities, you have completed the lower-division requirement with your AP coursework.

If you choose to complete your social science area study in psychology, you have completed the lower-division requirement."

Does this mean that if I plan to to my Area Study (Warren College GE) in say psychology or history, I should begin with an upper division course?

You mean psychology AND history since you have 2 area studies. Not one.

But yes, if you choose those two topics (or psychology and humanities) then you would only have upper division coursework left for your area studies. (Area studies require 1 lower, 2 upper division coursework and you have AP credit that can satisify their lower division requirements)
