SATll/Bio.

Hello everyone! I just signed my son up for the SATll/Bio. test in June. He is in 9th grade, and not the most motivated of students. He is a B+ student without trying. (Oh, if he tried!) He felt that it was an optional choice not a mandatory one. (If it is an OPTION, then he WON'T do it!) : (

One of my friends (who has extremely high motivated, and uber competitive children) strongly urged me to sign him up. She said that it is the easiest of all the tests, and I would be crazy not to push him to take it.

I spoke to the Guidance Counselor, and she was on the fence about it. Guidance said that most colleges don't look at the SATll except for schools like Chapel Hill, Duke, etc. Not to be pessimistic, but I HIGHLY doubt that my son will end up at schools like that. I do realize that he is still immature, and to talk about college with him now if just to early. I just want to know anyones thoughts about taking the SATll Bio. Test for a student like my son.
Thanks! : )

Why not? If he doesn’t apply to schools that ask for subject tests then he doesn’t need to send his scores to them. However, if he is planning to take AP bio then I would wait until he had finished that course
