Say it here cause you can't say it directly- the get it off your chest thread (Part 1)

Dang it Lakers how could you lose on Kobe’s special night? And to the Warriors? Ugh! Zo, you should’ve had that layup :((

I am so proud of the person you have become. Your compassion is apparent when you give your notice and your clients cry to learn you are leaving. You made a difference in their lives and treated them with the dignity any human deserves , despite what led them to be where they are.
You amaze me

I really don’t like when people push their kids’ fundraisers at work. Mentioning it is fine, asking specific people to please get their lunch today from a restaurant which is holding a fundraising campaign is not.

Dogs:

If you are supposedly twice as smart as cats, then why are my cats able to get me to write their Christmas cards for them while you have to write your own?

Work is a real drag today. I feel like I’m getting dragged into the holiday break fully on edge…

Also, for years I have thought that there should be some type of mandatory “halt all Christmas planning activity by December 20”- an initiative that would not allow you to do anymore shopping, wrapping, etc. if it’s not done by the 20th. We would all then have 5 days, stress free to say “time’s up!” and just enjoy the holidays.

Wrapping, baking, prepping right up to the day is exhausting - the day comes and goes in literally 24 hours.

Ack, DH started turning off circuit breakers without telling me, so my computer turned off without shutting down. When I powered it back up, the internet wouldn’t work. Went through all the standard procedures, no luck. Called computer guy, he said I needed to call Spectrum. Called Spectrum and they said the cable is not working properly but they can’t send someone out until Thursday. Since we use cable for our TV, internet, AND business phone, that’s not good!

Doublechecked with DH that he didn’t somehow turn cable off. “No!” he snapped.

Talked to Spectrum again and they said they would expedite our case. I was on the phone for about 30 minutes.

Just now, DH sheepishly says, “Uh, try again? I think I figured out what I did…” ARGH!!! I guess the good news is that everything is working again. :frowning:

You have had diabetes for at least ten years. You have remained at least 100 pounds overweight and you don’t exercise. You sneak cookies and sit for hours watching TV.

You just returned from the doctor. Once again, your blood sugar is not controlled “so we’re trying to find a different medication.”

Are you ever going to take responsibility for your health? I keep silent because I’ve said everything I can say but I feel like an enabler when I listen to you with a straight face and zipped lips.

It seems like the whole internet revolves around your health issues…

UPS and USPS: please hire people who can read. I’m fed up wasting my time on mis-delivered and missing packages. And to Amazon: UPS Sure Post is a joke. I’m tired of reading that my package has been delivered, only to find it was just dropped at the Post Office by UPS where it may linger for 3 - 5 days before I get it.

One five page paper that you simply cannot finish will stop you from getting the course credit. For months you have been doing nothing. Just finish or say you can’t. Get help or do something, anything. You cannot stay in your room forever.

Dear Dog,

The dog you bit today needed five stitches and a staple. It was clearly your fault. For better or worse (probably better), I know the owner and we are friendly. I offered to pay for the procedure. Whatever it costs is coming out of your kibble!! Actions have consequences.

Love, Mom

Another “poor me, my teacher won’t give extra credit” post.

Get the answers right. You’ll get the credit. Extra credit is for 7 and 8 year olds.

Tired of the bitter whining over past history.

I certainly can be juvenile, but the Washington Post url shortener just put out an unitentionally hilarious shortened url about winning the Virginia state house.

Can’t post it here and stay within terms of service, but to paraphrase John Oliver, “Janice in IT don’t give…”

The two of you have predictably sanctimonious posts. Everyone knows exactly what you’re going to say on any topic. But even though both of you are “practically perfect in every way” (and we are reminded of that several times/week), have you ever noticed that it is a rare occasion that anyone finds your comments to be likable or helpful?

Suddenly I am proud of Hyundai

Wow, TSA, please speed it up a bit so you don’t have others missing their flights as you had S miss. Thankfully he was able to catch another and still get in today but stressful!

Ha ha, I had such a productive day at work! I didn’t discover until I was ready to leave that I had been signed out of interoffice email all day! No wonder all your petty interruptions didn’t break my flow … I should be ditzy more often.

The piano has been closed since you left after winter break last January, it is so wonderful to see the lid up and hear you play!
