Say it here cause you can't say it directly- the get it off your chest thread (Part 1)

That hour or two when one is awaiting news from a loved one finding out if immunotherapy is working or not. 'Tis among the longest hours of ones life. Mom, if you get bad news I apologize for not being able to be there with you today. I should have rearranged my own appts. Sorry for not realizing that the way I do now. I really hope it’s good news though. I hope our trip next week can be a celebration instead of…

Bam. Another one bites the dust!..

Wow, it has taken 8 full days to get nebulized inhaled medications for a breathless person who has recently been discharged from the hospital and has good insurance. What the heck are the folks who do NOT have good insurance and people who will bird-dog this doing? How can they breathe if it takes so much time and energy to get the medications?!?!?!? This is with wonderful Medicare A, B, and D! It’s just fortunate that I started this process early or things could have been MUCH worse.

Cwap or more accurately #@!$. See post #17380 if that doesn’t make sense.

Note to those who want to learn from other’s mistakes. Never mess up priorities thinking the best will be happening. The best doesn’t always happen unless you’re in a movie theater.

Such a great day at college orientation!!

I’ve heard 20different variations of “mom, I’m SO happy to be going here” in the past 8 hours!

Sometimes too much honesty really hurts.

I don’t like the crotchety person I am becoming in my old age. Get off my lawn! And stop parking your car in front of my house, new neighbor. Your corner lot is exactly the same size as mine. Grrrrr.

I actually like coming in to work at weekends because I can get so much more done without interruptions from clients, phone calls, other employees and BOSSES. In fact I often wish I could work 3 week days and Saturday and Sunday. Why the hell are you here :frowning:

Go away and stop bothering me - grr…

Slooooow progress, insurance company. So you fixed the latest screw up that made things go from bad to worse, and we are half way there to correcting the original error you made 8 months ago, but you still owe us several hundred dollars. The longer you stall, “forget” to send spreadsheets, make “mistakes”, etc, the longer you earn interest on my money. Multiply this by thousands of customers and its pretty obvious how you make some of your money.

It’s funny to see what passive-aggressive behavior looks like on social media.

Are you trying to break your record from a few days ago re: the # of ridiculous “shares” on your facebook page? I think the other day you shared 17. Today you are at 13 so far, and the day is young. Sigh…

And it’s now 15…

The day I never t thought would come has come: My sister is divorcing her lazy, creepy husband after more than 40 years.

To illustrate how bright this guy is, he unfriended me and my family on FB but still has his profile set on public so I got to see the post where he accused my sister of leaving him now that he doesn’t have “money,” having “retired” last year, and saying that she has turned their kids against him. In truth, he was fired and didn’t file for unemployment because he had no intention of looking for a job, and the kids are 30 and 42 and have endured a lifetime of emotional abuse. She is the one who worked 60+ hours a week to keep this family afloat for most of their marriage while he was at turns un- and underemployed. Once she told him that I saw his post, he blocked me from it. He doesn’t realize that my sister is getting tipped off to all of this from his aunt. Yep, even that side of the family, upon hearing the news, asked “What took you so long?”

I am sooooo happy that I won’t have to try to be pleasant to him at family holidays and avoid his hugs. The guy was inappropriate with me when I was 13, and I’ve hated being in the same room with him ever since.

“Humble bragging” is far from humble and still bragging.

Please, get the damned test. It’s not for you, it’s for your kids. it’s a simple blood draw.

I agree mate a lot with you

Please mow the lawn. I cannot do it because I’m never home between the hours of 8 am and 10 pm. I’m out working while you are home watching tv Huess I need to buy an old fashioned mower so I can do it after dark.

I don’t need to deal with your issues anymore. Good luck!

Five days at the beach with two fifteen-year-old girls and no drama, no pouting, no mishaps (other than mild sunburn) …well, that’s really quite something !

The year and a half old service puppy in training I raised since she was seven weeks old is leaving us this morning for formal training. If all goes well with her, I won’t see her ever again. I’ve been trying not to think about it, but it is not going to be easy. I just hope the transition isn’t too hard on her and our younger service puppy who has been her shadow doesn’t miss her too much. And I hope I can hold myself together.
