<p>BEFORE I knew I was accepted to Cal, and AFTER I had decided I wouldn't go to Berkeley (or anywhere else) even if I was accepted (I applied on a whim). I told my english teacher, and he like had a heart attack over me not going... and then the whole school was in on it...so I went to Cal day and fell in love. :)</p>

<p>Just call and tell them ure not going. My GF has done that to me quite few times. She said yes then said no :(</p>

<p>When I rescinded my SIR, I called (510) 642-3175. It's the Undergraduate Office of Admissions. Just tell them you want to rescind your SIR... they're really understanding about it, but you give up your deposit.</p>
