Recs: Should be solid – but I have no clue

Also: Lots of family history at Stanford. Dad co-termed, mom got undergrad, sister currently attends, grandfather went, etc. I did the high school summer program there last summer and got decent marks.

What do you guys think? I’ve certainly had advantages many applicants don’t, and I’m not URM, low income, recruited athlete, aut al.

Thanks!

I guess I’m going to have to say what everyone keeps saying in these chance things. You have a good chance just like the majority of other applicants that apply to Stanford, but admission decisions at Harvard, Yale, Princeston, Stanford, and MIT can be surprsing to anyone, so no one can give you a clear answer. Apply and see what happens, if you get in, then the answer to this question is yes, otherwise no.

PS: I apologize if I sound rude.

While your E.C.'s are lacking, your test scores and the rigor (and results!) of your academic classes and very good.

Thus I think your chances are quite good as well; your legacy status might just push you over the edge.

Of course I’m no expert, but I wish you luck!

Yeah I guess I agree with Xombie, remember you have 0% chance of getting in when you don’t apply so apply and see! It’s just I don’t want to give definitive answers since I would be hurt it someone said I should get in and I got rejected. Good Luck though!
