SCEAers, are they calling?

Have all of you gotten calls from current students recently?

I've had Stanford student call me at like exactly 7 o'clock for the past 2 days, and each person says the same thing. The first call was very nice of them, but I mean, multiple calls? It's really awkward for me because I'm not gun-ho on enrolling at Stanford yet.

I thought it was kind of cool - they called twice because I missed the first call so they left a message. The second time they called, I got to talk to a current freshman. I asked if they always called admits, and they said they might not get to all admits, but they try to call at least once to congratulate them, see if they have questions, and tell them a little bit about college life in general. I thought it was pretty neat that the students who call volunteer to do it, and the guy I talked to said his freshman year has been so great that he jumped at the opportunity to share his experience with admits.

Well, maybe I'll ask a few questions next time instead of responding, "I'm sorry, but I haven't decided yet."

My D has received calls, and we thought it was nice.

Yep, I received calls. It's nice because it shows that we are wanted and that our enrollment isn't taken for granted because we are SCEA admits. I have to agree though, I was sorta caught off guard, I thought she was a telemarketer at first lol.
