Schedule for Fall?

I wanted opinions on the schedule I am hoping to take. Please let me know your thoughts!
I am majoring in chemistry. I don't know what to do about the math class since I took BC; but, I feel like I need more practice with the concepts in 1B before going to 53.

Math H1B
Chem 4a
Bio 1a
Music in American Culture
Chem C96

you cannot take bio 1a until you take chem 3b (or the college of chem equivalent); also you would have to take bio 1a and 1al concurrently. music 26ac is pretty easy. is math 1hb the honors equivalent math 1b? math 1b is pretty tough itself and just taking bc successfully is not a guarantee that you will get a good grade in math 1b (i took bc in high school and struggled with 1a).

What do you suggest I take in place of Bio?

are you an incoming freshman? just take any class/electives (i.e. those that fulfill breadths) that might interest you. i didn’t major in chemistry, so i’m not really familiar with the course requirement.

My friend is also majoring in Chemistry (L&S), and her prospective schedule is:

Math 1B
Chem 4A
French 2
Education 98

She’s already Phased 1 Math and Chem. So like hrhcow said, instead of Bio, take classes that fulfill requirements or a for fun class.

You can check your calculus knowledge with the Math 1A and 1B final exams found here:

[Choosing an Appropriate First Math Course — UC Berkeley College of Engineering](http://coe.berkeley.edu/students/current-undergraduates/new-students/choosing-an-appropriate-first-math-course.html)

If you start in Math 1B/H1B or a more advanced math course, you can take Physics 7A (instead of Biology 1A that you need Chemistry 112A for). Or take a breadth or R&C course if needed.

Why do you want to take Bio 1A anyways if you’re a chemistry major (it’s not a requirement)? Are you considering ChemBio?
