So I'm taking Chinese 1A, Econ 1, Soc 3AC, and Psych 160.
I'm also planning on double majoring in Business and Psych.

Should I take Chinese 1A with Econ 1 or is that just too much work?

Thanks!

Is this a joke?

Language classes are one of the easiest classes at Cal. Pair that with Econ 1, the easiest prereq of the Business major, and you’ll have the easiest schedule out of all freshmen at Cal.

If you really want to be challenged, take 61B with Hilfinger in the fall. Yes, I know that you’re not an EECS major, but the data structure concepts learned there will have far reaching uses in the Psych and Business world. Plus, it’s one of the lighter CS courses in terms of workload; I took 61B without 61A (which is optional) and I did fine.

bump bump bump

Do you already know Chinese? If so, it’ll be a GPA booster!

I don’t know Chinese…

bump bump bump

That shouldn’t be too hard at all.

I think you should be fine.
I personally took Econ 1, Math 1A, Korean 10AX, and French 2 last semester.
The classes weren’t necessarily difficult, but it was a lot of busy work. As long as you stay on top of your Chinese class (maybe getting a headstart on assignments), you should be fine…
