Does anyone have more information about this?
Any advice?
They give next to 0 information about them--and I already signed up!
How difficult is winning?

Thanks SaraCo for posting. I am hoping to find the same information. I know that there are varying numbers of scholarship depending upon the college, but I would love to know how many people typically take these tests. Would also like to know the format.

Just found some info on this thread: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/marquette-university/1436687-marquette-honors-program.html

Also a scholarship competition fact sheet from MU: http://www.marquette.edu/explore/scholarships-competition-factsheet.php

I’m applying to Marquette from out of state and will not be able to make the competition. I will be writing the essay. Is anyone else in the same situation?

Here is the link with dates and content [Scholarship Competitions // Undergraduate Admissions // Marquette University](http://www.marquette.edu/explore/scholarships-competitions.php)
@heff2018 the best way for out of state is to combine school visit with competition. Very few scholarships are awarded so it is not recommended to go from out of state just for the scholarship competition. Here is the link for scholarships you can apply [Scholarships // Undergraduate Admissions // Marquette University](Scholarships and Scholars Programs // Undergraduate Admissions // Marquette University)

Thank you! I’m really looking forward to hearing my decision!

To do the scholarship, you have to go on campus right? Or are there options for out-of-state. I know that Creighton has opportunities for out-of-state students, and I couldn’t find any information about Marquette having any! Did anyone come across it?

The scholarship competitions are on campus only, so if you don’t like close to Milwaukee (like me) it wouldn’t make sense to go. However, for students in this situation you can apply for the Explorer award which is essay based question and you can still receive a large amount of scholarship.

Thanks heff2018! I was unaware!

S applied for the Explorer award yesterday but was a little confused by the instructions which indicated the essay was supposed to be approximately 300 words but the application said 300 words or fewer. He ended up cutting some things from the essay that really helped answer the question IMO but what can you do? This was the shortest scholarship essay he had to write and it wasn’t easy to flesh out his idea with the word limit but I guess everyone was in the same boat. Good luck to all! Hope everyone did well at the Scholarship competitions, too!
