Scholarship Letter lost in the mail

Hello, I Recently graduated from a high school in Tennessee, and have been accepted into UTC. A couple of weeks ago, I logged into my UTC account and discovered that I was offered a scholarship along with the other usual things (loans, etc.). However, it now states that I am no longer eligible for the scholarship I was offered since I did not respond to UTC in time. I called the Financial Aid office at UTC and they claimed to have sent me a letter telling me about the scholarship information (which needed to be filled out and then sent to them) but I am very certain that I never received it. Since I was not able to accept the scholarship online, I simply waited for them to send me this scholarship letter, but because I did not receive it, I was not able to send them a letter back telling them that I accepted their scholarship, therefore leading to the rescindation of my scholarship. What should I do? I’m completely clueless and so worried, since I really needed this scholarship to minimize my college debt. I’ve worked very hard to maintain my grades and am pretty much breaking down at this point. Please give me your advice. And thank you so much for your time in advance. I have been emailing and calling the financial aid office for months in order to attempt to fix this but nobody has been helping me. All that I’ve been told was to contact them next month. I don’t know what to do

You posted the same on 4/11/2016. What have you done since then?

I’ve visited utc, have emailed the financial aid office many times, and have called many times. Nothing has come out of it. They simply keep telling me to contact them again in the future. It seems hopeless to continue trying, I know, but im gonna keep attempting until I get a definitive no from them.

I’m sorry and I hope you get some help. I wrote a different response but edited it because I am confused about the timing of all of this.

OP, your first post is misleading since you just copied and pasted your previous post. In the future, please be more careful.

I decided to attend this college because it was my cheapest option. I was given scholarships to other colleges, but even with those it would still be cheaper to attend UTC with no scholarships. I did not want to dedicate going to another college because I assumed that this problem would be fixed, but I was obviously extremely incorrect. But when I visited, I was told that the scholarship is only given to freshmen. Looks like all I have left to do is try my hardest in college and try to get some money from them while attending utc.

Sorry about that, i copy and pasted it out of laziness because I’ve explained this issue so many times to so many people that it brings anger to my fingers to continue typing about this. I’ll definitely be more careful in the future though. Thank you.

Have you spoken to the person in the Dean of Student’s office in charge of student advocacy and support? Website suggests Jennifer Henkle. Make sure your email is clear about how your acceptance decision was based in part on the offer of this scholarship.

Sorry for not responding, I had to go to work. But thank you very much for your advice, I just sent an email to Ms. Henkle explaining my situation. I appreciate your help a lot.
