Scholarship Thread

Do not think they post engineering scholarhip stats anywhere. I assume you must be in the top 5% of applicants??

Someone from Engineering Financial Aid that talked at Tech day estimated that they give scholarships to about the top 10% I think, and said in order to be competitive for one, you should probably have a 3.9 or above and around 32 or higher ACT. Not sure how accurate that is though.

I haven't applied yet; I'm currently a Junior. I am really interested in Michigan though.

do you have to click the "accept admission" button to be notified of any scholarships? I am still waiting on other schools, so I have not accepted the admission yet. But I was accepted to LSA, I am instate, and I got a 2310/34 with 4.0 GPA and good EC's, and all I was offered was the $1500 Regents scholarship.

The truth is that there are really not that many LSA merit scholarships available. If I were you, I would call the LSA scholarship office. I will pm you the phone number in case you want to call.

Call lto do...what?

emoney, as long as they're still giving out scholarships, I would think that you would get one. And no, you don't have to accept admission in order to be selected for one.

Call to see if you will be receiving a scholarship.

Top 10%? That's a lot of students getting 20k/year? hmmm.
