On the financial aid portion of the UT website, I saw this morning online that it said I had the Binning Scholarship, but it doesn't show up anymore. Did they make a mistake initially?

check your email, maybe they took it away because you didn’t send in some transcripts or something… either way, call them!

How do you let UT know about your scholarships that you’ve won? Do you tell them online some how or do you call them?

UT has a huge and pretty well organized financial aid office. I would get into contact with one of their advisors.

This is the form you use to notify the financial aid office of scholarships (or any other changes): http://finaid.utexas.edu/pdfs/FANChanges2009.pdf

Oops! That’s last year’s form. The new one may be found here soon: http://finaid.utexas.edu/links/forms.html

zlc - that site is for appeals and loans or am I missing something?

Do I need to declare my scholarships now or can I just wait until orientation next week?

Even though it is listed under “Appeals”, it is the correct form to notify the financial aid office that you will receive funds in addition to the ones indicated in CASH (or won’t receive an outside scholarship they think you will). You also use that form to request changes in loans and to report if you will be less than full-time.
The sooner you report the scholarships, the more time they’ll have to make any necessary adjustments so you can plan. As long as everything is in by July 1, you should be fine.
