<p>This is a list I copied. It may be slightly out of date. Marshall students interested in applying for a continuing student scholarship should check with their academic counselor to see if these are still available. Some have special requirements.</p>

<p>Viterbi has a list of scholarships, but it is not on their website. Students may write to Viterbi and request a list of continuing scholarships.</p>

<p>For the new students who will enter in fall of 2011…Students who have done very well academically may apply for many of these in the spring of their freshman year. Check with your academic counselor concerning questions of eligibility.</p>

<p>Dean James Ellis Endowed Scholarship</p>

<p>USC Thornton School of Music has announced a new endowed scholarship for graduate study in composition. It has been donated by Professor of Composition, Frank Ticheli. The funds will be available for the 2012-2013 academic year.</p>

<p>GG - you are one TRULY AMAZING resource and are MUCH appreciated!</p>

<p>Another Thornton scholarship has been announced. The great composer and Medal of Arts holder, Morten Lauridsen, has endowed one or more composition scholarships for students highly gifted in music composition.</p>

<p>There are two new scholarships for students in the Dornsife School of LAS.</p>

<p>Baines Endowed Scholarship-Major in Psychology with a major interest in autism</p>

<p>Lealy Scholarship Fund-Emphasis on extracurricular involvement, community service and need.</p>

<p>Greek chapters give scholarships. Some of these are set aside for continuing students in a particular chapter. Check individual group websites for more information.</p>

<p>Where can students gain access to these scholarships for Marshall? And by continuing scholarships do you mean they are awarded throughout the year?</p>

<p>Cathie, You can check with Marshall regarding the listed scholarships. They are not for entering freshmen, but students who are already enrolled. Second semester freshmen are eligible to apply in some cases. After the decisions are made, the scholarships are usually awarded the following semester. Most of these are academic scholarships. Some are a combination of need/academic. A few are for leadership.</p>
