<p>I may apply to Northeastern regular decision (I realize this is a little late but I'm still within the deadline). What kind of merit aid does Northeastern give and what are my chances with a 1340 SAT and 3.87 GPA ?</p>

<p>i applied with extremely similar statistics (slightly lower GPA) and I received the Northeastern University Grant for 16500 a year. To qualify for it you must apply for financial aid. I was really surprised to receive any financial aid at all due to the fact that it is need based and statistically speaking, my family does not fall into the “need” category, even though in fact we truly do need it. So yeah, I received no “merit scholarships” but a grant is free money that does not need to be paid back.</p>
<p>I’m a bit confused about the financial aid letter and hoping someone can clear it up. Is the award just your merit award, or did they use the CSS I sent them and this is all the money they are giving me?</p>
<p>My daughter received her acceptance and Merit notification online. Didn’t get a letter yet.</p>
