Scholarships

I called. They told me that anyone who got Trustees or Provost also received National Buckeye, but that they made a mail error and just sent out the fixed/additional letters yesterday!

Congrats everyone! :)

So is it guaranteed that if it said only Trustees that you also got National Buckeye or can you only get Trustees and it wasn’t a mailing error?

From what I understood it’s supposed to be in junction with the National Buckeye, otherwise it makes no sense because Trustee’s is harder to get than the NB

I was told, Thursday, that Buckeye Scholarship letters may not go out until March. I’m optomistic that it will be sooner than that. I’ve also understood that if you meet the criteria for Provost, Trustee, Maximus that you also can be somewhat assured of the Buckeye as an out of stater.

Son got the Trustee letter, this week, and I’ve always thought that they could be separate letters. They’ve got different GPA criteria, to be met, and don’t depend on OOS status to be offered.

congrats to all…hopefully he’ll get his Buckeye letter soon. I’ll be glad to have the process over and done with.

Son got the Trustee letter yesterday, so hopefully he’ll hear about Nat. Buckeye soon (2030 SAT, 32 ACT). We live in MA and 2 older sons have gone to OSU (1 graduated, 1 in 2nd yr). The scholarships will play a huge role in his decision-making.

Thanks for all of the updates!

They sent me a fixed letter today, saying that they accidentally forgot to include National Buckeye on the last letter and that people were supposed to receive both!

Trustees+National Buckeye today! 1390 SAT, 31 ACT, 3.4 UW GPA

Got the corrected letter with trustees and national buckeye today! So relieved and osu just got a lot more attractive.

I received the National Buckeye and the Maximus notification the day I was accepted which was around three weeks ago

Is there a scholarship that comes with being accepted to the Scholars program? I have $14,000 a year, but I am OOS so I’m just wondering if the Scholars Program comes with a scholarship. Thanks!

Just Morrill Scholars if you applied for that

We got the corrected letter this weekend also…Buckeye and Trustees confirmed.

Hopefully ours will come soon - they actually cancelled mail delivery on Sat due to the blizzard in New England!

Received Buckeye today! Great way to start a visit to OSU.

When are our financial aid packages being sent out? There’s an expected family contribution listed online for me and it’s a lot (to me, at least). I’m hoping for good news with that packet or else I don’t know how I’m going to be able to attend.

Where exactly did you see your EFC online?
Was it on your account or did you compute it on EFC calculator?
Thanks !

Alantill: On Buckeye Link, there is a link that says ‘Financial Aid Status’. Click on that. It should say ‘Select Aid Year to View’. If you/your son or daughter will be a freshman, there should only be one year. Click on the year. There are three tabs on the top. One of them is ‘SFA Status’. Click on that tab. It’ll be there.

Hey just wondering, people that are getting merit based scholarships, did you have to submit your FASFA in order to be considered for them?

@smrogs I got my merit scholarships before submitting FAFSA.
