thats EXACTLY what i have on mine...i guess we have to wait. who knows how long this will take

my EFC was 7933 before I updated the fafsa with up-to-date information. It is now 7944, I am out of state

Perhaps I should have waited till after I got aid to update the FAFSA, now I have to wait for a review then they can give me aid :( Unless taking a look at it will only take a few seconds?

nope. the financial aid counselor at my school changed my FAFSA on april 14 and thats how my file has been since

So will the school now disregard my first fafsa and skip over me when they are handing out financial aid?

Are you in-state tracie?

I have no idea about your first question. But yeah, I'm in state so i guess that helps but my stats aren't too stellar

hey hookem, do u have yahoo messenger?

a whooping 11 bucks??

I have AIM - victooorious

yea 11 bucks, that's why I'll be ****ed off if it costs me financial aid lol

my aim is lamechiefster

Ahhhh, I called them and they said that my file was still in "pending review" status until I adjusted my fafsa, now they say that since I changed my fafsa right during the aid-giving time, I have to wait at least a week to remove the bar :(. They did tell me that my pending package included mostly loans with no work study.

That doesn't really help does it? UT's so stingy. Urghh. Are you still going though?

I don't know, Ohio state gave me a lotta money :(, but UT is my #1 choice.

(Roughly) What amount of debt would ya'll be willing to take to go to your #1? I've asked a few friends and they've told me about 16k, 17k, and 32,300 total after 4 years. Others have told me to go with the school that gave me the most in scholarships.

Hmm, I think I'm going to go to Ohio State if I get nothing else. I know I'll think about "what if" (i went to texas) for the rest of my life, though :/

So has anyone got anything new? scholarships that aren't terry, longhorn opportunity or presidential?

UT estimated that it would cost 19k per year for me. That's um 76k over 4?!? That's as much as Baylor costs for me and I'm doing Pre-Med. I also got a full ride + 12k from UTD on the side. Where would you guys go out of these options? The other is A&M but I don't really want to go there.

Is the 19k going to be a loan?

Um they gave me like 10k per year in loans. Either way I'm paying 19k. No scholarships, no aid, no nothing.

If you can do it maybe I can :o
