Scholarships

Hey I'm a high school student applying to rutgers - I was wondering, are the scholarship considerations automatic when I send the application with the essay in? How much of it is based on scores (I'm pretty certain i qualify for presidential), and how much of it is based on the essay and other factors? Is there an interview, and how many students get the scholarship from those that qualify? Thank you!

You’re automatically considered. There is no interview. I think it’s mostly based on scores, but the essay and other factors are probably considered.

I know for the SAT it used to be 1500 for the full ride, now the web site says 2250. If a guy has 1500 Math and CR, but 740 Writing, adding to 2240, does that disqualify him?

Also, if a guy has 1490 Math and CR, but 760 Writing, adding to 2250, I guess he’s qualified?

Even if you have the scores for the full ride, it’s probably very competitive. It doesn’t look like the old scores apply anymore (just Cr+M)
In the first case, it seems likely that one would be disqualified since it says “at least” 2250.
In the second case, he would be considered (ii might hard since he has just the minimum score) since the old requirements don’t apply.

if i have a 2220 (2230 superscore), can i not be qualified for the 2250 full ride scholarship? b/c it’s only 20 or 30 points difference…

if i can’t be qualified, would i get any scholarships with this score?

yeah, i think you HAVE to have the 2250, i just checked out the reqs. retake the test, you have the november date, december date and even january date. if you’re good enough to get a 2220 or 2230, you can definitely get a 2250/+ with a bit of luck and perseverence. good luck!

aww thanks!

Am i allowed to take the january 22 SAT test though?
b/c unfortunately my only choice is that date or I can’t take it since i’m taking other tests in Dec.

also i was already accepted into the rutgers pharm program so i’m not sure if that would change everything…

i have a super score of 2270 but I am not in top 5% (I am like 7%) do you think I will qualify for Full Ride?

Do they look at Sub SATs or AP Courses done?

I was recently accepted to Rutgers NB Business School and CAS. I didnt see any info about financial aid. Did i just not qualify? Am I looking in the wrong place? Or will this email be coming later? Thanks!

I believe you need to fill out the government FASFA or FAFSA form (I can never remember the letters) that information goes to the schools you applied to and then the school will determine if you receive scholarship money.
Go on to Rutgers website under financial aid, and you should find the information there.

thank you!

Any updates on scholarships? Did anyone receive any this as yet?
