Scholarwships at OSU: Who gets them, how do you get notified?

dstark: Congrats to your son! We like the cost too!

PennPar: I did the FAFSA also last night. Ditto on the EFC.

I guess the government thinks we have a mattress full of money somewhere. Maybe I should go check....

Does anyone know if Asians are eligible for the Pathways Scholarship because they contribute to race and ethnic diversity?

I'm sure that Asians are eligible, DefTech. I received the award, and last year the estimated Asian/Pacifi Islander enrollment was 6% while the estimated Black/African-American enrollment was 8%.

For future references, bloodcard-holding Native Americans and Hispanics are also eligible for the Pathways Scholarship based solely upon race.

From Freshman Scholarships page (<a href="http://www.meritawards.osu.edu/admissions/%5B/url%5D:">http://www.meritawards.osu.edu/admissions/:</a>)

Students awarded the Maximus, Provost, or Trustees scholarship and/or the Flagship Award who contribute to racial/ethnic diversity or who are eligible for a Pell Grant (typically students whose household income is under $40,000), and who apply for admission by December 1, may be eligible.

yea i got that award this year and im chinese so they def are, but im hoping to get the morrill to replace that.

Happy New Year S4C.
