Congrats guys! Is a Silver Key even considered prestigious by any means? It seems like a lot got them.
I got an Honorable Mention for my poetry, but one of my friends was nominated for an American Voices Award! So happy for her!
Found out I won four Silver Keys for all four works I submitted for the Scholastic Writing Awards and was also nominated for an American Voices recognition. Cool thing is that even Silver Keys are being considered at Nationals in my region (Midwest/Wisconsin)! The funny part is that all 4 pieces were actually college admissions essays I had to write.

1 Gold Key in photography
5 Silver Keys in photography portfolio and writing
4 American Voices nominations
1 Honorable mention for photography
Seeing as its the first time Iāve ever competed, Iām pretty happy with the results!

This is late but, it turns out I got 2 gold keys and 3 silver. Iām okay with it, but I feel as though the work I submitted couldāve been better. . . found out about this thing really late hahaha
Have they cashed the checks for any works of yours that didnāt win? Only two of my checks got cashed, and I won two awards, so Iām wondering if the other three checks & confirmation forms got lost in the mailā¦ I consider the work that didnāt win better than the work that won.
Does everyone get an email reminding them to check back on March 16th for national notification?
I didnāt, but I didnāt get any Gold Keys, so I shouldnāt have.
