Has anyone heard from the Art Region-At-Large?

Absolutely NOTHING. I'm in the NYC region.

Apparently Connecticut has been informed, though.

Last year, region at large results were really late.

Thanks, m&sdad.

Do you remember the approximate date by any chance?

it's so frustrating! i haven't heard ANYTHING in DC!

Think it was late March last year.

Yes, I called ARAL, and they said that they will notify everybody in late March. They apparently had some 100,000 submissions...

Oh.. that's quite something!

By region-at-large, I am assuming you mean the national competition? I was told two weeks ago that those who would not be receiving an award were being notified now by email, and that winners will be notified by early April. Has anyone received notification yet?

If you do not have a specific regional competition, you are part of region at large. Winners fron the regions, including at large, then compete for national awards. We did not hear from region at large results last year until late March/early April.

Thanks for the clarification! Good luck everyone!

Does this include portfolio awards?

Omg I Got A Silver Portfolio Award!!!!!

congrats on your silver key!

thanks so much!!!

morangotango - what's your medium? Congratulations!

photography! i'm planning to double major with it and philosophy in college! thanks!

NYC region: Scholastic has been sending back work that wasn't chosen for awards.

My school got some work back today - gladly, none of my prints were in the shipment. This means good news!

I live in CT and they said that they send back all works and take slides and pictures of the work and then nationally judge them. Did anyone else hear this? Because I got my portfolio back with everyone elses who didnt win gold. Does this mean I will not win any national award? I kind of don't expect to, but it would still be nice to know definitively.

i think it depends on whether or not you live in a state that's doing an exhibit.

did they ask you to submit a CD with your portfolio? That's what we had to do.
