<p>My son made the Semi finalist and wants to apply to allot of schools. Should we wait till they contact him to apply for free or just suck it up and pay the application fee to all these schools?</p>
<p>It depends on where he wants to apply. Many schools do not give free apps to NMSFs. </p>
<p>You can contact some of these schools by email, state your son’s NMSF situation, and ask if he might be given an app waiver.</p>
<p>I think we got app waivers from the following schools…</p>
<p>SLU
Tulane
USC gave a discount, I think, but not free
Fordham</p>
<p>I think we had to pay for the rest. I don’t recall any Flagships giving us free apps…and no top privates.</p>
<p>Ok thanks. I thought for some reason Alabama and Auburn and Texas A&M did. So we will just have him send in hips Application before October first.</p>
<p>I believe Baylor’s application is free and you might look at the McDermott scholarship at U T Dallas if you want to stay in Texas. Both give amazing scholarships to NMF. My D rec 8 free fee waivers in the mail from somewhere that she used.</p>
