school laptops

does your school provide each student with a laptop??

No. I wish mine did though, but my school’s mean like that.

come to mine!!!

Nope there are desktops just about everywhere though :/

We can check out laptops…with Windows 2000. My school is about a decade behind, technologically.

no, but I wish we did.

Ours does. I’m on it. Sometimes I’m blocked from Google. Not as great as people may think it is. And right now Big Brother can see everything I’m doing…

^ I agree with ambiguitee. Realistically it wouldn’t be that great. Many sites would be blocked and all you could do is do research and read the news…
Not to mention that the school would probably only be able to provide cheap, budget laptops. They would be slow as heck.

@ religion. What school do you go to huh? Must be rich.

this is mine, nothing cute but its not 2 bad…

big kev stop being so cute
aStyle ya at school stuff is blocked but we all find games to play anyway but theyre nice because they have our textbooks and all of our hw dont hve to worry abotu printing things at home

My school has two sets of 25 of those laptops that religion posted. One is for grades seven and eight and the other is for the high school grades. The laptops stink.

We don’t have laptops that we can take home. The public town library has a few, I think, though.

I luv em I play tetris in class

There are like 5 desktops in every class, and teachers can check out laptop carts (20 laptops each) for certain days. It has Windows XP, which ain’t too shabby.

Our school is very laptop friendly. Most people bring their own, and there is wifi all throughout the school with only stuff like Facebook and youtube blocked… they used to block google images, which was stupid.

AND you can access it on ipod touches. Our school became very relaxed this year, like we can text and call between classes, use ipods, etc.

A lot of teachers just warn you if you listen to music or text during class, no one really gets in trouble. It’s quite nice. I bring my new laptop to school now for notes and playing with it with my friends after we finish working.

My high school did but then ran out of funding and quit. They quit the program the year I started actually. Oh well, they were crap, and everyone complained about how often they had issues.

Funny story. At old HS my friend told me that someone uploaded Halo CE onto the public folder. Then word spread all over the school and everyone was playing Halo. There were massive games! Every time it was removed, someone would reload it back onto the public folder.

At my school there’s Mario and Sonic flash games hidden in a teacher’s public folder. So far it hasn’t been removed.
