School of Business Administration Program Admission

Hey there,

So I am about a quarter behind from being a junior at UC Riverside. I came into the school out of high school as a biology major. I failed my first year and got dismissed from the university. The next year I took a quarter at my local community college (Irvine Valley College), and then after that began repeating classes I failed through UCR extension. I got back into the University after summer 2014. My GPA is a 2.0. With my community college classes it is a 2.6. I want to study business. I have taken several business classes and Ive done really well. I am a licensed real estate agent at age 20. And I have begun investing in the stock market. I have a few questions for those who are more knowledgable in this than I am. Firstly, the school of business administration requires a 2.7 GPA within 100 quarter-units. I wont be able to reach that since my community college grades do not calculate into my GPA. What are my options if I want to do a joint MBA/JD program? What can I do if I want to major in business administration? Is there just no hope? Im willing to go to great lengths to make this happen. If anyone can introduce me to their perspective, or what they think is the best possible way for me to graduate on time, with a business oriented major, with a good chance of getting into a good tier business program/ law school, I would be greatly appreciative.

Thanks.

You can complete a BA in Business Economics in CHASS at UCR. In any case, you should discuss this with your advisor, he might be able to point you in the right direction and give you some more information.
