I applied to SMG and was wondering how the department is and what majors and concentrations seem to be popular there. Right now I’m leaning on a Business Law Major.

Also how difficult is it to get in there?

Bump! Whats the acceptance rate for SMG?

The law department is one of the best, if not the best, department in SMG. The professors are amazing and enthusiastic. They've slowly been increasing the courses they offer as well.

i applied to the CAS but now I really think that I want to major in finance. If I am admitted into CAS, will i be able to switch into the school of management?

Business Law is incredible. I am not a concentrator, but I have taken 3 or 4 classes. the professors are engaging. The classes are interesting. The law classes are really not team oriented if that is what you are looking for.

I am general management. most flexible and most interesting in my eyes. Your diploma is a BSBA - so i'm not convinced you need to concentrate in finance or IS or operations if that's what you're interested. Take a couple classes of each, get your degree and be more sure of what you want, instead of take 5 stupid finance classes only to find out you hate finance.

Thanks. Yea I was thinking about that too. I figure a degree like that can give me a lot of options for grad school and in the future as well so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

it is extremely easy to do an in intra-university transfer at BU. the earlier you make your decision, the better.
